hii.pet ("we", "us", or "our") operates a shared virtual land where people create islands for their real pets. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use hii.pet.

Information we collect
Account information
When you sign up, we collect your email address and username. We use email-based one-time passwords to verify your identity. We do not require a traditional password.
Pet and profile information
You may provide your pet's name, species, photos, and optional location details such as city name or approximate coordinates. Other users can see your public profile, pet information, and island on the shared land.
Usage and activity
We collect information about how you use hii.pet, including daily care actions, island visits, reactions left on other islands, shop purchases, credits earned or spent, and interactions with the land map.
Payment information
If you buy credits, payment processing is handled by our payment provider. We receive transaction confirmations and purchase metadata, but we do not store full payment card details on our servers.
Technical information
Like most web services, we automatically receive basic technical data such as browser type, device information, IP address, and timestamps when you access the site. This helps us keep the service secure and reliable.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and maintain your account and pet islands
- Display your public profile and island to other users
- Operate daily care, streaks, growth, credits, and shop features
- Process purchases and deliver in-app credits
- Send account-related emails such as sign-in codes
- Respond to support requests and improve the product
- Protect against abuse, fraud, and security issues
What other users can see
hii.pet is a social experience. By default, your username, pet name, pet photos, island decorations, growth stage, streak, reaction counts, and any city or location details you choose to share are visible to other users browsing the land. Do not upload content you do not want to be public.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Service providers that help us run hii.pet, such as hosting, authentication, email delivery, file storage, analytics, and payment processing
- Other users, through the public features described above
- Authorities, when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and hii.pet
Data retention
We keep your account and island data for as long as your account is active. If you want your account deleted, contact us at hello@hii.pet and we will process the request in a reasonable timeframe, subject to any legal obligations to retain certain records.
Your choices
- You can update your pet info, photos, and location details from the app
- You can choose not to add optional location information
- You can contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of your data
- You can stop using hii.pet at any time
Children's privacy
hii.pet is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please use a personal email account you control and avoid sharing sensitive information publicly on your island.
International users
hii.pet may be accessed from different countries. By using the service, you understand that your information may be processed in locations where we or our service providers operate.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of hii.pet after changes become effective means you accept the updated policy.
